Fireman Joe McKay began suffering from frequent cluster headaches, also known as suicide headaches due to their severity and lack of treatment, six months after 9/11. He, like many with cluster headaches, contemplated suicide and was forced into early retirement. Joe learned of potential relief with mushrooms and decided to give it a try. He found relief not only of his headaches and dependance on opiates, but also was able to process and heal the deep trauma of loss from that tragic day.
